My school's illustration department does this great thing every semester called "Costume Carnival" where all the clothed figure models collaborate and go nuts in this extravagant themed life-drawing day. There is free pizza involved. It is quite the shindig.
This year's theme: Space Cowboys. I freaking love my school sometimes, you guys, seriously.
Two of the models this year (the girl with the amazing helmet and the creepy body-painted Martian witch) are actually friends of mine and great illustrators in their own right! I know they worked their asses off to help make this thing happen... Hopefully my drawings are worthy of the effort they put in.
All drawings done straight with my very abused Pentel brush pen. I've been doing a lot of life drawing with that thing lately; something about throwing a black brushstroke down and being done with it does more for me than my typically indecisive penciling...
