MMaS: Poison by oxboxer MMaS: Poison by oxboxer
A surprising amount of feedback for Make Me a Sandwich was cooking newbies motivated to try cooking for the first time! While that is AWESOME, there is some safety stuff y'all may not... have been... taught... ever...

Normally I would have thought this all went without saying, but PAST EXPERIENCE HAS SHOWN ME NOT TO TAKE EVEN THE BASICS FOR GRANTED. Keep in mind that this information is all super simplified and condensed, and The Esteemed Reader (you) would be well-served researching further.

Next week: KNIVES, and how not to cut off your hand Skywalker style.

Thank you for the 'Is there anything you can't eat' addition. I have some restrictions myself because of migraines, and I have two friends who have so many food allergies that between them, there is almost nothing I can cook if they're both coming over at the same time... I think I can still make white rice.

Working in food companies a lot, I guess I assumed everyone knew these rules. Huh. I loved the comic though. The mars part was very funny. XD

I dunno... working in food service removed all pre-supposed ideas of what people did and didn't know about food... O.o

I must have some tough training then, cause not mixing foods -- like poultry -- was the first thing we learned.

I remember the training, which I found kind of boring and redundant because my mom loves to cook and my grandmother was a nutritionist (and... something that really doesn't exist anymore but basically a home-kitchen management specialist) so I'd basically had all of this drilled into my head since I was big enough to realize that a spoon could be used for stirring... But then I saw almost every one of my co-workers completely disregarding what they had been taught.

I zoned out at work for a little bit, reading all three of those. :D Great fun -- thank you for the entertainment.

YEAH, COOKING!
Man I can relate cause I wasn't able to eat pork, beef or goat before and all my friends would be all like "WHAAAA YOU'VE NEVER TRIED BACON?!? YOU HAVEN'T LIVED YET!" and I was all like "PFFT WHATEVES BUBS" (but then I was allowed to eat pork after a certain age so I tried Bacon and It was actually alrightish...)

Love your drawing style though, AMAZING JOB!
